You have heard this many times.
People don’t care how much you know. They want to know how much you care. You demonstrate your ability to care with these words; care, trust, help, listen, observe and serve.
As a result, people will always choose to follow you and your leadership because they want to and not because they have to.
Really care about people by listening and not just hearing.
Without a distinct personal culture, an individual is doomed to failure. This culture is developed through servant leadership.
You lead from within with dogged understanding, compassion and incredible mental toughness that inspires emotional intelligence on all fronts.
I remember walking into a large corporation at one time and the large sign in the CEO’s office read, “You are entitled to my opinion”.
Wow!
Well, this individual was obviously at the very first level of the leadership ladder as people were probably only following him because they had to.
Was he a nurturer or narcissist?
The answer is very clear.
Totalitarian leadership in any setting whether it be in business, relationships or politics is repulsive to anyone on the planet that believes in individual liberty, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
I generally don’t write about world events however the current crisis compels me to do so.
What is happening in the world today especially in the Ukraine is beyond human comprehension. Innocent lives are in jeopardy of losing the latter.
However, history has proven over and over that evil always loses in the final analysis.
I remember as a small child when my Father told me that he was present in the square in Italy where the deposed, Italian fascist, dictator’s corpse was hung upside down.
Unbelievable!
The individual that perpetrated this present world atrocity will go down in history as another misled, self-indulgent, personal agenda driven leader that fell due to his unquenchable appetite for power regardless of anything or anyone.
