“The door to all moments”

“Of course, I talk to myself. Sometimes I need expert advice.” — Anonymous

Life always gives you a second chance but you have to change your self-talk.

How do you do this?

You have to eat to be great.

These two words are intertwined for a reason.

You have to eat every single day intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically to become great.

Everyone clearly knows what needs to be done. Only the ones with the lion’s integrity, resolve, persistence, and the watchful eye will ever reach the pinnacle of their desired outcome.

Well–intentioned people will always try to bury you but they have no clue that you planted your seed and that you were the seed at the onset.

Seek to be more aware of each day so that every molecule of your being is burning with a desire to be, do, or have more in your life.

Here’s a humorous little story and the source is unknown but it is appropriate in setting the stage for this session.

On the first day God created the dog. God said, “Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years.” The dog said, “That’s too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I’ll give you back the other ten.” So, God agreed.

On the second day God created the monkey. God said, “Entertain people, do monkey tricks and make them laugh. I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.” The monkey said, “Monkey tricks for twenty years? I don’t think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that’s what I’ll do too, okay?” And God agreed.

On the third day God created the cow. “You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves, and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years.” The cow said, “That’s kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty and I’ll give back the other forty.” And God agreed again.

On the fourth day God created man. God said, “Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. I’ll give you twenty years.” Man said, “What? Only twenty years? Tell you what, I’ll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back, and the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back, that makes eighty, okay?”

“Okay,” said God,

“You’ve got a deal.”

So that is why the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy ourselves; the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family; the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren; and the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

So, we can enjoy our life or just be miserable and bark at everyone and anything.

We are all a work in progress so we shouldn’t rush this process, as there is a universal plan in place for everyone.

If we try to look at the big picture instead of analyzing every single detail, we will be pleasantly surprised. The unnatural, unfoldment of a rose causes its demise.

Work as hard as you can at what you do but don’t force it.

Similarly, life will always give you your heart’s desire and a second chance however force always negates.

The present moment is really all that we have. All our tomorrows are created by this incredible gift that should not be squandered.

Thich Nhat Hanh beautifully stated this, “The present moment is the only moment available to us, and it is the door to all moments.”

“THE UNIVERSE DOES NOT HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR AS IT WILL GIVE YOU EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK, FEEL AND ACT EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE INTELLECTUALLY, EMOTIONALLY, SPIRITUALLY, PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY.”

Let go and let God.

Carpe Momentum.

You’ve got this.

Carpe Momentum.
