Ready, willing and able?

“The more a man knows, the more willing he is to learn. The less a man knows, the more positive he is that he knows everything…” — Robert G. Ingersoll

“Ready, willing and able?”

“Instead of concentrating on your problems and getting discouraged, focus on God and meditate on His promises for you. You may have fallen down, but you don’t have to stay down. God is ready, willing and able to pick you up.” — Joyce Meyer

There will always be a Goliath in your life. Hopefully, his unexpected arrival will unleash the David inside of you that has been still for many years.

In order to slay your own personal Goliath today, you still need five stones and a slingshot. Your five stones are the intellectual, emotional, spiritual, physical and financial ones.

Your slingshot is mental toughness.

I wrote an entire book about stopping the drama and taking your life back. For those that read that book and acted on some of the ideas, congratulations as you have continued to embark on the amazing journey of your life.

As mentioned previously many times, Mental toughness with compassion and understanding crushes all of the emotional barriers. Mental toughness doesn’t mean being rude, arrogant, stubborn, intolerant, or tough.

Mental Toughness implies ones ability to compartmentalize.

You acquire the knowledge and mental strength in order to place issues or problems into very distinct and separate boxes without compromising your emotional intelligence.

The truth is that everyone wants to be, do, or have more.

Life is always there and ready to present you with a sundry of issues 24/7 and 86, 400 seconds of each glorious day.

What we do with the issues impacts all of our results good, bad or indifferent.

Some of us react and some of us respond. The fallout of reaction is detrimental to anyone’s psychological house.

In order to understand this, one must understand our human physiology. The event good, bad or indifferent triggers the Amygdala/lizard brain.

The Amygdala scans your data bank (all of your experiences good, bad or indifferent) and then sends an electrical message to your central nervous system based on information that is in your data bank. The end result is either chaos or peace of mind.

Here’s how it works in real life.

Thoughts, feelings etc. via the physical senses, enter the brain at the spinal cord and have to travel all the way to the front of the brain before anyone can think rationally about the experience.

All this stuff has to travel through the limbic system (feeling) before it gets to the area where rational thought is experienced.

It’s not that complicated as when we are so tightly wound up with the issue, it has very little chance of getting to the front of the brain.

We’ve all been there many times throughout our life journey. However, if you are ready, willing and able to exercise decisive action regarding the latter, the meltdown will not occur as often as it has in the past.

We’re human and thank God that we are human as we are all a work in progress.

Next time an issue attempts to derail you from your quest, pause and think, prior to acting.

The enemy is always lurching and simply just waiting to pounce on your emotional intelligence.

Tell the enemy to take a hike as you know better now.

All the best as the best is yet to come for you.

Carpe Momentum.

Yours in success,

Franco Cianflone
