Pain is no joke
“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.” – Khalil Gibran
“Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease.” – Hippocrates
I never imagined I’d write an article about pain.
Pain comes in many forms – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. For me, it’s physical. And in the past two and a half months, I’ve experienced a level of pain I didn’t think was possible.
The pain is focused in my right shoulder and arm. The strange part? It wasn’t caused by any major injury – just a simple stretch to throw something into a recycling bin. And yet, since then, I’ve been in constant, excruciating pain.
Prescription medications didn’t work. Desperate for relief, I turned to over-the-counter painkillers just to function while waiting for my scheduled MRI.
So, why am I sharing this?
I’ve spent years helping others develop emotional intelligence and inner resilience – but this experience shook me. It reminded me that no one is immune to suffering. And sometimes, the tools we teach need to be rediscovered for ourselves.
I tried everything: breathwork, meditation, healing frequencies like 432Hz and alpha waves. Nothing brought consistent relief.
I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone ever. It just comes out of nowhere at any time regardless of what you’re doing.
Then I came across something unexpected – healing scriptures.
As a Christian, this resonated deeply. I read about a woman who had been diagnosed with stage four cancer and used these scriptures daily.
Today, she’s cancer-free.
Let me be clear: professional medical care is absolutely essential. This isn’t about replacing it – it’s about complementing it. If you’ve tried everything and you’re still in pain, whether physical or emotional, perhaps this spiritual practice might bring some peace as it has for me.
Below, is a list of healing scriptures link from the Bible that brought me comfort. Maybe they’ll help you too.
