A Tribute to Bob Proctor

“You should never be satisfied — happy, but not satisfied. Dissatisfaction is a creative state. It took you out of the cave and put you into the condominium. It gave you the wheel, the fax and the furnace. Dissatisfaction gave you and me a lifestyle that is the envy of the world.” — Bob Proctor

“Goal Achiever Summit Live Seminar 2016 Proctor Gallagher Institute”

“Patience is understanding that there is a natural gestation period for all acts of creation. We understand, for example, that it takes approximately 280 days from conception for a human baby to be born and it takes a given number of days for different seeds to bear fruit. Well, the same is true for our dreams and goals. They must develop on the inside before they can manifest into reality. And that’s why patience is required to achieve your goals.” — Bob Proctor

Bob Proctor was one of a kind and inspired so many people world wide. His contribution to humanity is endless. Bob’s contribution via his many videos, seminars, books, teachings etc. changed lives globally. Anyone that was blessed to interact with him via his many resources changed their life for the better.

Truth be told, I was the last human being to hold out on buying what was popular at times. I probably thought to myself, “Let them work out the quirks, and then it will be safe to buy it.”

In fact in those days, I might have been the last person to show up at Best Buy to buy a VCR.

Incredible!

Then when the iPhone came out, I thought again, “I’ll just hang onto this flip phone until Mr. Jobs clears all the bugs and it’s safe to buy.”

Unbelievable!

What was I doing?

Playing it safe.

Then I met Bob Proctor and everything changed.

This is one of the most important lessons that Bob taught me and is best described by one of his quotes.

“Understand this! X cannot be trusted. Your X factor remembers and reminds you. It’s devious. It’s insidious how devious it is. It will take any path. It has no rules. It will win at any cost. It does not want your Y factor. It does not want you to take over. For every failure, for every settling, for everything rote in your life that’s just not what you hoped it would be. That’s your X factor paradigm assuring you that status quo is the way to go.“

Now I know better so here it is.

Some of the emotional intelligence lessons that were taught by Bob are as follows in this Mental Toughness For Life Publication article.

ODE TO BOB PROCTOR by Franco Cianflone February 6, 2022

But who wants status quo?

No one wants this as there is no growth, no purpose, no love, apathy and on and on and on.

We were all created with something awesome and majestic to do in this lifetime.

It doesn’t matter what it is. Just begin and your purpose will evolve as you evolve as a nurturing, caring and loving human being.

Allow that greatness within you to emerge and the world will be better off as a result.

Your X factor is that controlling, dictatorial, manipulative and scheming psychological mechanism in everyone’s personality that prevents you from nurturing what you really want to do with your life.

You need to nurture your seed, as awareness is your only defense.

Awareness provides you with that sixth sense that leads and guides you towards intelligent and proactive decisions.

You nurture your seed by taking calculated risks and not by merely playing it safe in your white picket fence. Risk is the realization that you can be, do, or have more in your life. This risk allows you to investigate and explore all possible options that allow you to grow as a valuable, nurturing and contributing individual.

Risk allows you to understand that success is a two-sided coin that has failure on the other side. You cannot have one without the other.

How would you know a great paycheck from a bad paycheck if you didn’t experience one or the other?

When you risk, you open all types of possible opportunities that would be sadly missed.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and instead start being positive and proactive about what could go right.

No one owes you anything in this life.

You owe yourself everything.

Take full responsibility and step up to the plate of life.

Many would love to but don’t think that they have what it takes.

It’s only those people that represent 3% of the planet that know what they want, know that they can achieve it and clearly understand that the only path towards achieving it is to do what it takes.

This is called mental toughness.

No excuses.

No alibis.

No chameleon acts.

No nothing.

Only results.

Results will never lie.

To the best of your ability, make it happen for you and your loved ones.

When?

Right now!

It’s been waiting for you a long time.

Thanks Bob for all that you did for so many people and for so many years.

Your spirit lives on.

Onward and Godward.
